There is much more involved in the manufacturing process
than simply transmitting an order to the cheapest supplier.
In-depth, on-site knowledge of all possible production
considerations from the planning phase to shipment will
greatly improve an order's progression from start to
finish. Streamline is extremely experienced in every
aspect of the production process from prototype design
to manufacturing to the development of cost-efficient
packaging. We have industry specialists, engineers,
quality control experts, and involved senior management
to constantly manage and improve the production process,
as well as to avoid potentially costly errors before
they occur. Our client roster includes everyone from
new patent holders to huge retail suppliers and we are
confident that there is no organization better suited
to facilitating production in China.

Production FAQ
- What types of agreements
are signed?
- How does Streamline
enforce quality control?
- Is it possible to
get production samples?
- What types
of agreements are signed?
Once a purchase order has been received along with
a down payment to begin production, two agreements
are signed. The first is an agreement with the client
stipulating the comprehensive terms and specifications
to which the order in question is subject. This is
then translated into Chinese and a second agreement
is signed with the supplier. Changes to the specifications
and/or terms constitute grounds for a new set of agreements
(unless stated otherwise).
- How does
Streamline enforce quality control?
Clearly, quality control is extremely important during
actual production. In China, even many of the largest
manufacturers apply different quality inspection standards
to the manufacturing process than what has come to
be expected in other places. Large, state-owned companies
are some of the biggest offenders. Additionally, smaller
and/or infrequent orders do not always receive the
attention they deserve.
For this reason, Streamline has a team of experienced
quality control experts that each have extensive experience
in his/her particular industry and take it upon themselves
to frequently travel to the factories and monitor
the production process. In most cases, we are capable
of performing our own QC due diligence. In cases where
items are extremely technical or specialized, we welcome
visits from clients to assist in either their own
QC performance or in the training of our staff.
QC planning: Streamline
develops a comprehensive list of quality control standards
and specifications applicable to raw materials, manufacturing
processes, and quality testing directly with the client.
Streamline's QC inspectors and engineers then take
it upon themselves to translate this information into
Chinese and sign quality performance agreements with
suppliers. They will also ensure that the proper raw
materials are purchased and employed in the correct
manner.
QC inspection: There are
usually at least two inspections per order. The interim
inspection occurs mid-way through the production cycle
to ensure that things are progressing according to
schedule. There is also a final inspection to ensure
that the items being shipped meet the standards agreed
upon before goods leave production facilities. Our
QC inspectors also frequently make random visits without
notice in order to monitor the process.
Quality assurance: For
ongoing production, Streamline's QC inspectors and
engineers take it upon themselves to continually monitor
and evaluate the quality standards and methods employed
in production. All suggestions for changes are communicated
to the clients and decisions about alterations are
added to the quality performance agreements signed
with suppliers.
- Is it possible
to get production samples?
Because of strict payment terms necessitating full
payment prior to shipment (please see the Payment
section for more information), it is necessary to
provide production samples as evidence of the quality
to be expected from the final order. While the cost
of the good(s) is covered in the cost of the order,
the cost of shipment of such samples is the responsibility
of the client (unless otherwise stated).
